The City of Philadelphia implemented a Rental Property and Lead Certification Law on October 1, 2020, requiring landlords to test their rental properties for lead dust and certify them as lead-safe or lead-free.
So that they can acquire a new or renewed lease, or obtain a new or renewed rental license. Every residential property constructed prior to 1978 is subject to the rule.

A lead prevention ordinance code was put into effect, in Norristown, on January 1, 2022. A lead-safe or lead-free certification must be
